Natasha "Havi"
Ha Vi Tran,
M.Ed./ Ed.S.

Havi is a first year doctoral student in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Florida International University. She is a member of the Power, Women, and Relationships Lab and is supervised by Dr. Asia Eaton.

She received her Master of Education degree and Education Specialist degree at University of Florida. While completing her clinical experience in the program, she worked extensively with the college student population. Through that work, she was exposed to a variety of mental health concerns with a prevalent theme of academic and occupational burnout. Using this clinical experience and analyzing the issues from an intersectional framework. Havi aims to address "burnout culture" through doctoral research in Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

As a scientist-practitioner, Havi's experience comes from many areas, from research to clinical to outreach. These different facets inform Havi's practice as a professional and give her extensive knowledge that helps her in both academic and applied settings.

Research Interests

Havi's research focuses on social issues within the workplace, namely those related to power dynamics and marginalized experiences. Her work is heavily influenced by Intersectionalism Theory and aims to emanate that framework through her research approach. Her clinical background in mental health and counseling also shapes her research and often comes up in the form of occupational health, mental health justice, and the relationship between mental health and social issues.
